Class taught by Gingi Allen, mother, childbirth doula, apprentice midwife, and life-long dancer.  Gingi began dancing as a young child with distinguished African choreographers and dancers, as her mother danced while she was in utero.  Gingi later performed in troupe African Queens, and began to branch into Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Modern, Jazz, and Azteca.  Her style is deeply eclectic, blending afro-based dances into a fluid intuitive process.  With the birth of her first child in 2002, Gingi was inspired to support women in the celebration of creation and the miraculous process of birth.  Gingi currently supports the feminine divine woman by providing support as a childbirth doula, apprentice midwife, and facilitator of women's wellness events.
